BGE asks all customers to report their outage. Outages may also be reported online, by texting OUT to MYBGE (69243), and via BGE’s free mobile app available today at the Apple Store or GooglePlay. BGE crews work as safely and quickly as possible to restore power.

Remember: BGE will never call or come to your home or business to:

Sell you electricity
Ask for immediate payment with a prepaid cash card or cryptocurrency such as bitcoin
Ask for your BGE account number or other personal information such as Social Security number or Taxpayer Identification Number
Ask to see your energy bill

BGE never collects payments at kiosks that issue prepaid cash cards or accepts payment in the form of cryptocurrency such as bitcoin.
